Billy Gene Culpepper

Billy G. Culpepper, age 89, of Saltillo,Mississippi, passed away on May 4, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. Bill was born on July 12, 1936, in Section, Alabama to Dilmus and Jessie Culpepper.

Bill spent a successful career in industry, serving as general manager of Plymouth Tube facilities in Birmingham, Alabama, and Streator, Illinois and was instrumental in establishing the Plymouth Tube Company, Eupora, Mississippi facility, serving as plant manager there until his retirement in 1996.

Bill is survived by his wife of thirty years, Shirley Batte Culpepper; daughter, Kim (Doc) Culpepper; grandson, Diylan (Ann) Scott; daughter, Whitney (Brandon) Sutherlin; stepson, Clay (Tammy) Johnson; stepdaughter, Kris (Michael) Parsons; grandsons, Jonathan (Emily) Harris, Chance Johnson, Ian (Cora) Johnson and Hayden Johnson; granddaughters, Hannah (Chris) Branson, Blakelee (James) Morgan and Maggie (Zach) Wright as well as eleven great grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Dilmus and Jessie Culpepper; his brothers, DC, Milford and Larry Culpepper; his sister, Sue Culpepper and his stepson, Brad Johnson.

Funeral Services for Mr. Billy will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Walthall Memorial Cemetery in Walthall, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Walthall Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Willy Weddle will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Dylan Scott, Jonathan Harris, Chance Johnson, Ian Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Chris Branson, James Morgan and Zach Wright. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Culpepper family.
