Charles Harris Bright, Sr.

Charles Harris Bright, Sr. age 66 of Cadaretta, Mississippi passed away Monday morning, July 13, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on July 31, 1959, in Quitman County, Mississippi to Simmie E Z "Zack" Bright and Donna Faye Russell Bramlett. He was a farmer and employed by Jeffery Tabb Farms. His favorite past times and hobbies were hunting and fishing and spending time with his family that he loved. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Emma Pittman Bright also of Cadaretta, Mississippi; children, Lisa Bright of Calhoun City, Mississippi, Jennifer Bright of Mathiston, Mississippi, Charles (Melissa) Bright, Jr. of Vardaman, Mississippi, Tony Young of Cadaretta, Mississippi and Pam (Mike) Collums also of Cadaretta, Mississippi; his mother, Donna Faye Russell Bramlett; twelve grandchildren, David Rodgers, Seth Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, Ericca Varela, Mark Varela, Kirklin Crutchfield, Kaliegh Bright, Alyssa Bright, Matthew Bright, Payton Collums, Hunter Collums and Josh Young; twenty great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Roger) Pryor, Becky (David) McKinney, Leeann Hallowell, Stacey (Michael) Avant and Betty Jo Bright and brothers, Simmie Bright, Michael Bright and Lamar (Janet) Bright. He is preceded in death by his father, Zack Bright; his brother, Donald Bright and two great grandchildren, Lori-Lee Young and Alayah Perez. Funeral Services for Mr. Charles will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church in Gore Springs, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church. All Graveside/Committal Services will be held inside Bradford Chapel Baptist Church instead of the Church Cemetery. Rev. Billy Michael Trull will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be John Mitchell, Jeffery Tabb, Thomas Pittman, Mike Collums, Chris Bright and Richmond Hubbard. Honorary Pallbearers are David Rodgers, Seth Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, Kirklin Crutchfield, Mark Varela, Matthew Bright, Payton Collums, Hunter Collums and Josh Young.
