Christi Nichole Dozier Smith

Christi Nichole Dozier Smith, age 48, passed away after an extended illness at her residence in Laurens, South Carolina on Friday, August 7, 2026. Christi was born on April 26, 1978, in Eupora, Mississippi to Mackey Turner Dozier and Vickie Helms Ming. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Eupora, Mississippi, graduate of East Webster High School in Webster County and a former Certified Nursing Assistant working at both Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home and Vicker's Personal Care Home in Mathiston, Mississippi. Her heart was to care for her family and others around her. Christi also enjoyed cooking as well and spending time with her family and friends. Those who have preceded Christi in death are her maternal grandparents, James and Malloy Helms and paternal grandparents, Virgil and Alma Dozier. Christi is survived by her partner in life, Tim Beck of Laurens, South Carolina; her parents, Vickie (David) Ming of Mathiston, Mississippi and Mackey Dozier of Tupelo, Mississippi; one son, Stephen Smith of Missouri; two grandsons, Kaleo and Eoghan Smith both of Missouri; one sister, Tracie (Ed) Fiebig of Ackerman, Mississippi; two brothers, Jamie (Angela) Robertson of Eupora, Mississippi and Justin (Haleigh) Ming of Mathiston, Mississippi; two nieces, Brittney Dewberry of Pontotoc, Mississippi and Ashlyn Ming of Mathiston, Mississippi; three nephews, Brady (Hilary) Dewberry of French Camp, Mississippi; Austin (Kelsie) Robertson of Eupora, Mississippi and Boo (Keegan) Robertson of Eupora, Mississippi; three great nieces, Ellie Robertson, Maisyn Dewberry and Linlee Robertson; two great nephews, Kohen Dewberry and Henry Robertson and three children who were very special to Christi, Kara Orvin, Kelly Orvin and Cody Orvin. Funeral Services for Christi will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1:00PM until time for Services at 2:00PM also at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will all be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of West Shady Grove Cemetery. Rev. Jack Inmon and Rev. Will Livingston will officiate the services.
