Faye Carol Young Dewberry

Faye Carol Young Dewberry, age 79, of Maben, Mississippi, passed away surrounded by her family at her residence on Sunday morning, September 20, 2026. Faye was born on July 19, 1947, in Starkville, Mississippi to the late Hubert Young and Audean Archibald Young. She retired as Postmaster at the Maben Post Office for over thirty years. Faye loved the Lord and served Him through the many Senior Ministries at different churches in the area and by participating in the Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan's Purse by making stuffed bears and filling shoe boxes for the ministry each year. She was a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church. Other than serving God, the joy of Faye's life was her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Lloyd Dewberry; one daughter, Stephanie (Rodney, Sr.) Allen; one son, Brad (Felicia) Dewberry; one sister, Joann Dewberry all of Maben, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, Lauren Carden, Rodney (Ashley) Allen, Jr., Paige (Colin) Judah; Brady (Hilary) Dewberry, Brittney Dewberry, Kelsey (Brier) Ditto and Colton Huffstutler; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Hubert and Audean Young. Funeral Services for Mrs. Faye will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Mathiston First Baptist Church in Mathiston, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation on Tuesday evening, September 22, 2026, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 12Noon until time for Services at 2:00PM all at Mathiston First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Maben, Mississippi. All Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Mathiston First Baptist Church instead of Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Will Livingston will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Eddie Dewberry, Wayne Monts, Rodney Allen, Jr., Brady Dewberry, Colin Judah and Colton Huffstutler. The staff of Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to serve the Dewberry family as they walk through this season of loss and are entrusted with all services.
