Ora Imogene Odom Hooper age 83, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in Eupora, Mississippi on Monday, September 22, 2025, just one day before her 84th birthday. Imogene was born on September 23, 1941, in Sturgis, Mississippi to W.M. Odom and Eula Prisock Odom. She was a skilled seamstress and a member of the Church of God. Imogene is survived by her two sons, Cecil (Melanie) Hooper of Mathiston, Mississippi and John L. (Angel) Hooper of Canton, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Christina, Amber, Ashlyn, Randy, Hailey, Luke, Anna, Anderia, Brooklyn and Brayden; eight great grandchildren, Ryder, Layla, Maylee, Adlee, Gracelynn, Jax, Jase and Oliver and very dear friend, Carol Sue Chandler of Eupora, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by both her parents, W.M. and Eula Prisock Odom; one daughter, Rose Ann Hooper and all of her siblings, one sister, Sylvia and four brothers, Lawrence, Charles, Henry and O.D. Funeral Services for Mrs. Imogene will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Bradley, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora. The Hooper family would like to thank all of the Nurses, CNAs and Volunteers at Eupora Long Term Care for their wonderful care of Imogene and requests that all memorials in her memory be made to Eupora Long Term Care Volunteers.
