Jeffery Liddell Patterson

Jeffery Liddell Patterson, age 50, of Patterson, Louisiana St. Mary Parish and formerly of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Thibodaux Regional Health Systems in Thibodaux, Louisiana Lafourche Parish. Jeffery was born on November 25, 1975, in Eupora, Mississippi to Larry Patterson, Sr. and the late Phyllis Bingham Bell. He was a graduate of Eupora High School in Eupora, Mississippi and a diesel mechanic for Houma Diesel Service LLC in Houma, Louisiana Terrebonne Parish. Prior to moving to Louisiana, Jeffery was employed by Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora for many years opening and closing graves and providing cemetery setups for families. He also enjoyed working on family and friend's cars doing mechanic work on the side. Jeffery is survived by his wife and mother of his children, Vanoria Gladney Patterson of Maben, Mississippi; children, Kaneisha Butts of Federal Way, Washington, Kentarious Patterson of Maben, Mississippi, Jaquan Butts of Kilmichael, Mississippi, Keilian Butts of Federal Way, Washington, Kendra Butts of Federal Way, Washington and Kaliyah Wofford of Una, Mississippi; two stepdaughters, Shyteria Patterson and Kaziyah Patterson both of Maben, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Kennedy, Teagan Butler and Frank O. Adjei-Nkrumah, Jr.; his father, Larry Patterson, Sr.; his siblings, LaShanta Ivy of Memphis, Tennessee, Gail Patterson Dotson of Weir, Mississippi, Marie Patterson of West Point, Mississippi, Jackie Patterson of Grenada, Mississippi, Tyeshia Patterson and Coty Patterson both of Eupora, Mississippi; a special friend, Chrissy Terry and her son, Christian Terry both of Patterson, Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family friends. Those preceding Jeffery in death is his mother, Phyllis Marchella Bingham Bell and his brother, Steven Patterson. Funeral Services for Jeffery will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation on Friday afternoon, October 9, 2026, from 3:00PM until 6:00PM at Mt. Union Missionary Baptist Church in Eupora, Mississippi and again on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00AM until time for services at 11:00AM at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Piney Jordan Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi. Minister Michael Bingham will officiate the services. Those serving as Pallbearers are LayLay Hemphill, Joel Robinson, Josh Gladney, Joshua Johnson, Elbert Hill, Tramontie Liggins, James Wright, Jr. and Rickey Comeaux. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers to Jeffery is the Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora Staff.
