Jerry David Jackson

Jerry David Jackson, 86, of Maben, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Wynwood House in State College, Pennsylvania. Born on March 21, 1939, in Maben, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Otis Alton Jackson and Willie Lou (Mason) Jackson. On December 24, 1958, he married his beloved wife, Mildred (Kuykendall) Jackson, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2016, after sharing nearly 58 years of marriage together. Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Cumberland High School and a life-long member of Cumberland Baptist Church in Cumberland, Mississippi. He retired from Monte Glove serving in Management. Jerry is survived by his son, Daney Gilbert (Wendy) Jackson of State College, Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law, Peggy Jackson of Grenada, Mississippi; grandchildren, Carrie Lynn (Todd) Everingham, Dublin, Ohio; Aleesha Danielle (Greg) McDonald, Grenada, Mississippi; Ashley Nicole Buri, Washington, Pennsylvania; Morgan Renae (John) Penza, Knoxville, Tennessee. Colton (Gabrielle) Gilpin and Andrea (Mitch) Lang; great grandchildren, Trey Petrella, New York, New York; Maxwell and Lauren Everingham, Dublin, Ohio; Marlee and Aubree McDonald, Grenada, Mississippi and Henry Lang, State College, Pennsylvania. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, David Lynn Jackson; and siblings, Lonnie Boyce Jackson, Joe Billy Jackson and Martha Ellen Egli. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10:00AM until time for services at 11:00AM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Old Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Old Cumberland Cemetery. Rev. Chris Barrow will officiate the services. Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora, Mississippi are entrusted with all arrangements.
