Jessie Marie Leflore Bowen

Mrs. Jessie Marie Leflore Bowen age 79 of Tunica, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Diversicare in Batesville. Mrs. Bowen was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on March 8, 1947, to the late Jessie Leflore and Elizabeth Kinchen Leflore. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Bowen is survived by her two daughters, Catherine Johnson and Tina Bowen (Fiancé, Daniel Fewell) Shirey; one son, Jake (Joy) Bowen; three grandchildren, Jessie, Jesden and Laura; four great grandchildren, Jack, Koda, Vivian and Caleb and one sister, Corrine A. Biggers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Herman Bowen; both of her parents, Jessie Leflore and Elizabeth Kinchen Leflore; one daughter, Lisa Bowen; one granddaughter, Jesenda Dunnington; one sister, Margaret Kelly; three brothers, Willie Leflore, William "Bill" Lightsey and Charles Moore and one daughter in law, Amanda Bowen. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM at Antioch Community Church in Choctaw County, Mississippi on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 12Noon until time for services at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, also at Antioch Community Church. Interment will follow in the Antioch Community Church Cemetery there in Choctaw County, Mississippi. All Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Antioch Church instead of the Cemetery. Bro.
