Martha Frances Cain, age 84, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on July 2, 2026, at Harmony at Brentwood in Brentwood, Tennessee.

She leaves behind children, Angela (Roland) Baxley, Clifton (Kerry) Cain Jr., Michelle (Terry) Thomas; grandchildren, Michaela Cain, Victoria Cain, Kristen (Marion) Bradshaw, Lauren (Jeffrey) Olberding; great grandchildren, Abigail Ricalday, Audriana Bradshaw, Scarlett Bradshaw and Isabella Olberding.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John C. and Myrtice Sansing, daughter in law, Roxanne Cain, husband Clifton Thomas “Tom” Cain, Sr., sisters, Rebecca Wood and Mary Beaty.

Martha was born on November 5, 1941, in Newton County, Mississippi to the late Rev. John C. and Myrtice Sansing. Martha and Tom were married sixty years, and lived in several states before settling in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Cain earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Aquinas College in her late fifties, serving her community as a Registered Nurse with the Frist Center and Healthways for many years before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles, collecting antiques, and supporting her favorite sports team, the Kentucky Wildcats as well as the Tennessee Titans.

Martha was a passionate person who loved to spend time with family and lived generously, finding fulfillment through hospitality. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and believer in Jesus. She especially loved to spend time with her husband, Tom. They often visited their favorite getaways in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Hot Springs, Arkansas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 10:00AM until time for services at 11:00AM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eupora City Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi. Rev. Travis Gray will officiate the services. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all services for the Cain family.
