Martha "Dodie" Jean Davis

Martha Jean Davis age 66 passed away Friday afternoon, July 17, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora surrounded by her family. Martha known by her family and friends as "Dodie" or "Mama Dodie" was born on March 26, 1960, to the late Charlie Barson and Orece Greenlee Barson in Eupora, Mississippi. Dodie was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and caring for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Cathedral of Deliverance Church in Eupora, Mississippi. Dodie is survived by her children, Cassie (Robert) Davis McCarter of Sturgis, Mississippi, Varonica Davis of Eupora, Mississippi, Precious Davis of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, Charlie Davis of Eupora, Mississippi and Dillon Parnell of Warner Robins, Georgia; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Maerece Fair of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Robert Earl (Bettie) Davis of Eupora, Mississippi; special friends, Ricky Marshall, Michael Gray, James and Kellie Bingham and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Orece Greenlee Barson; two sisters, Debra Petty and April Davis and two brothers, Richard Curtis Davis and Charles Young. Funeral Services for Dodie will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation also on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 12:30PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Churchill Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi. The Repast time and location will be posted soon.
