Martha Jean Ward

Mrs. Martha Jean Robinson Ward age 83 of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away in Houston, Mississippi on Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026, at Trend Health and Rehab of Houston. Martha was born in Arkansas on April 9, 1943, to the late Edward Ward Robinson and Virgie Stanley Robinson. Mrs. Ward was a long-time member of Hohenlinden Baptist Church and attended Clarkson Baptist Church in Webster County, Mississippi and was a homemaker. She loved her flowers, spending time with her family, eating at 3 Star Restaurant with her friends and traveling with family. Martha is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (Buster) Golding of Woodland, Mississippi and Sarah (Sells) Akins of Mantee, Mississippi; son, James (Emily) Ward of Eupora, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Chasity, Amanda, Marcus, Matthew, Brantley and Savannah and seven great grandchildren, Kennedy, Cara, Caitlin, Carter, Cybil, Chancey and Piper. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Ward; both parents, Edward Ward Robinson and Virgie Stanley Robinson; one sister and four brothers. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ward will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation also on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will all be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Clarkson Cemetery. Rev. David Keen will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Marcus Ward, Matthew Ward, Brantley Ward, Brandon Scott, Bobby Collier and Billy Sims. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Ward family.
