Matthew Jay Nikolaisen

Matthew Jay Nikolaisen, age 67 of Eupora, Mississippi passed away on Friday morning, May 1, 2026, at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. Matthew was born on April 9, 1959, in Subic Bay, Philippines to the late Arnold John Nikolaisen and Gayle Ann Schultz Nikolaisen. He was a retired cook. Matthew is survived by his three daughters, Allison (Erika) Nikolaisen of Oregon, Kathryn (Kyle) Perry of Utah and Beth McNatt of Mathiston, Mississippi; two sons, Steven (Antonia) Nikolaisen and Bradley (Emily) Nikolaisen both of Oregon; one sister, Julie (Jimmy) Vaught of Colorado and two brothers, Eric (Suzanne) Nikolaisen and Michael Nikolaisen both of Utah; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; an ex-wife of ten years and best friend of thirty-eight years, Katherine Borders of Eupora, Mississippi and daughter-in-law, Amanda Nikolaisen of Eupora, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Arnold John Nikolaisen and Gayle Ann Schultz Nikolaisen and one son, Pete Nikolaisen. Matthew will be cremated per his wishes. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all services for the Nikolaisen family.
