Nellie Ann Whitt Long age 88, of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Long Term Care Unit in Eupora, Mississippi on Thursday night, May 1, 2025. Nellie was born on June 20, 1936, in Reform, Mississippi to John Q. Whitt and Plummie Lee Reed Whitt. She was a member of Antioch Church in Choctaw County, Mississippi and a homemaker. Nellie is survived by her four daughters; Sheila Coleman, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Sherri (Joe) McDowell, Foley, Alabama, Cindy (Perry) Smith, Mathiston, MS and Stephanie Barcia, Tupelo, MS, one son; Scott (Carol) Long, Denham Springs, Louisiana, one sister; Betty Weeks, Mobile, Alabama, one brother; Sam (Charlene) Whitt, Fairhope, Alabama, fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Q. and Plummie Lee Reed Whitt, one son; Charles Michael Long, one granddaughter; Holly Douglas, one sister; Juanita Holden and one brother; John Whitt. Funeral Services for Mrs. Nellie will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery in Choctaw County, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00PM until time for services at 2:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Rev. Will Livingston will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Nellie's grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements.
