Patrick Shane Floyd

Patrick Shane Floyd, age 36, passed away suddenly at his residence in Weir, Mississippi on Thursday morning, September 10, 2026. Patrick was born on August 2, 1990, in Metairie Jefferson Parish, Louisiana to William Melvin Floyd, Jr. and Ann Taranto Floyd. After moving to Mississippi Patrick was employed by K&M Portables in Ackerman, Mississippi. Patrick is survived by both of his parents, William Melvin Floyd, Jr. and Ann Taranto Floyd and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William, Sr. and Patricia Floyd; paternal grandparents, Richard and Sonia Taranto; two uncles, Blake Floyd and Lance Taranto and a cousin, Sarah Brown. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by his family in Louisiana where Patrick will also be laid to rest. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Floyd family.
