Sarah Frances White Hitt age 81 of Eupora, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. Sarah was born in Webster County, Mississippi on January 22, 1944, to Jesse Lowell White and Margaret Iona Vaughan White. She was a retired secretary for Doss Butane in Eupora, Mississippi and teacher's assistant for the Eupora Elementary School and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Eupora, Mississippi until her health failed. Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Hitt of Eupora, Mississippi; one daughter, Lorrie Frances Hitt (David) Boatman of Eupora, Mississippi; one son, Lowell Bruce (Renee) Hitt of Eupora, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Ethan (Andrea) Boatman of Tupelo, Mississippi, Justin (Brittany) Boatman, Cameron Hitt, Colby Hitt and Nathan Hitt all of Eupora, Mississippi; two great grandchildren, Henry and Emery Boatman and two sisters; Marjorie White Nabors of Meridian, Mississippi and Nora White Carroll of Eupora, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by both her parents, Jesse Lowell White and Margaret Iona Vaughan White; one son, Kevin White Hitt and one brother; Ronnie Lowell White. Funeral Services for Mrs. Hitt will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Eupora, Mississippi. Interment will be held at Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at First Baptist Church instead of Clarkson Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00AM until time for services at First Baptist Church in Eupora, Mississippi. Rev. Travis Gray will officiate the services. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Hitt family.
