Wade Swindle

December 23, 1953 — April 9, 2026

Eupora, MS

Born on December 23, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, Wade Swindle, age 72, of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away on April 9, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He has now entered his heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, endless love, and a life beautifully lived.

For over fifty-one years, Wade shared a remarkable love story with the love of his life, Patti Pogue Swindle. Their marriage was a testament to devotion, partnership, and deep abiding love - a bond that weathered life's hard times with grace and strength. Together, they built a life centered on faith and family.

Wade loved the Lord with all of his heart. He lived a life rooted in hard-work, integrity, and a deep love for the land and the people entrusted to his care. He took great pride in building not only a livelihood, but a legacy, one that will continue to bless his family for generations to come.

Many who first met Wade saw a man of strength and toughness, shaped by many years of hard work and responsibility. But those who truly knew him understood that beneath that tough exterior was the most tender, generous, and loving heart. He loved deeply and showed his devotion through steady presence, sacrifice, and support for those he loved.

A proud and loving father to his four beautiful children — Jamie, John, Lee, and Jennifer — Wade’s love for his family was constant and unconditional. He was their protector, their teacher, and their steady foundation. Through long days and hard-work while working all over the southeast with his land developing business, he showed what sacrifice truly looks like - notin words, but in action. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and everything he did was to ensure they were cared for, supported, and loved.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patti Pogue Swindle of Eupora, MS, his children, Jamie Swindle Walker (Steve) of Mantee, MS; John Swindle (Chastity) of Eupora, MS; Lee Swindle (Meredith) of Madison, MS; Jennifer Swindle Smith (Bruce) of Eupora, MS; and his cherished grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Nealy Swindle, and Ann Carter Smith all of Eupora, MS; Corinne and Patrick Walker of Mantee, MS; Blakely and Rex Swindle of Madison, MS and Hunter and Brystal Cook, and Keegan Tyree of Eupora, MS. Also, his brother-in-laws and their wives, whom he loved and respected: Bobby Pogue (Karen), Matt Pogue (Linda); Lance Pogue (Dixie) all of Eupora, MS; a special sister-in-law, Judy Morris of Eupora, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly.

Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Rexal and Faye Swindle; his brothers, Herman Alan Morris and Don Swindle all of Eupora, MS; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Carolyn Pogue of Eupora, MS.
